Through our Salute option, we flex our pitmaster prowess and turn up the heat to smoke up some tasty BBQ. The SALUTE is our way of saying THANK YOU to our service members and their families for the freedoms we enjoy as Americans as a result of your efforts.

Our core event is a BBQ BLAZE competition. Teams from across the base/post compete using their own grills with proteins we provide. We emphasize fun and education. Only one team will take the coveted Jack Daniel’s™ barrelhead back to their unit for the ultimate bragging rights. Include 250 BBQ Baskets (pork/chicken sandwich, chips, water & dessert).

Learn BBQ basics from world-champion pitmasters. We demo beef, chicken, pork, vegetable & dessert over 2+ hours. We also sprinkle in tips & tricks including food safety and BBQ competitions. We share what we look for; where to buy; and combining rubs, sauces, marinades, and smoke to achieve the ideal flavor profile. Finally, we take time to review what tools we keep in our own pitmaster bag to make BBQ easy and awesome!
